hospital Bag

Here are some little tips that might help any mothers-to-be regarding things that are helpful to take with you to the hospital:

My Hospital Bag

Hospital gown- So glad I got this. It’s so much more comfortable and cleaner than what the hospital offers.
Slippers and sandals- Slippers to walk around and sandals for the shower.
*Extra long charger- so your phone can reach your hospital bed.
Polaroid Camera
Toiletries & makeup – You’ll want to shower (it brings you back to life) I put on makeup the day we were discharged.
*Pillow-this will make you so much more comfortable
Undies- The underwear they give you in the hospital are like diapers.
Outfit to go home in
*Nursing bra
*Comfortable PJs- nursing top

Baby Bag

Going home clothes- something that will be comfortable in a car seat.
Swaddle
Car seat
Baby book
Alphabet sign
Beanie
*Nail file- they might not have these in the hospital
Pacifier- we didn’t pack one because we wanted to hold off for a month since I am breast feeding and they say it could make latching more difficult, but Charlie had no problems there, so we gave her one on night two, after we couldn’t figure out another way to help calm her down. We learned from our pediatrician in the morning that pacifiers actually help open up the baby’s airway and help reduce the risk of SIDS.
