Newborn to three months must haves

I decided to write a post on what works for Charlie. Let me start off by saying I thought I was going to be one of those moms that only bought aesthetically pleasing and neutral colored toys but, boy was I wrong; pretty didn't always work best.

1. Sleeping

You can never have enough swaddles.

DockAtot- since the noise or lights didn't bother her I would put her in the dockatot wherever I was.

Bassinetthis is next to my bed. Sometimes I roll it into the bathroom when I shower, but keep an eye on her still.

Baby Monitor- I love this one's features it tells you the temperature, you can talk into it, and you can move the camera with the push of a button.

Bath- This depends on if you are going to wash your baby in the sink or tub. Now I use the blooming bath as knee support while we use the bathtub. She love to play in the bathtub so I personally recommend the angelcare.

Sink- I recommend the blooming bath

Bathtub- I recommend the Angelcare Bath Support

Nails-I use Baby Nail File by baby blue giraffe

Brush- I use My Wet brush for babies

Nosefrida
 - I like the set with saline because it softens up the boogies

2. Grooming

3. Swing

I tried the mamaroo and the Nuna leaf. Charlie hated them! They did nothing for us. I could only get her to sit in them if she was already sleeping. Then I finally gave in and purchesd a less aesthetically pleasing fisher price swing and she loved it. I actually have one at my parents' house too. Not only is it more affordable but it works. (not the best quality, we had to put a coaster under one of the legs to make it level, but it does the job.)

4.Breastfeeding

I was very lucky that my milk came in when I was only 28 weeks pregnant. This may be TMI but my boobs would leak. Once Charlie was born and my breastfeeding journey began, my boobs we so engorged that I had to pump multiple times a day just to get a little relief. I suggest that you pump and freeze your milk because if you are like me your supply will decrease based on your baby's demand. It came in handy that I froze so much milk at the beginning. I also suggest buying spare pump parts (so you don't have to wash the part so often) I personally bought nursing bras that I could pump in and lived in them.

Night time feeding- I would use a nightlight since my husband was sleeping. I personally didn't find any breastfeeding pillows useful.

Comotomo Bottle- Chalie took this very easy

5. Stroller

I love my Stokke xplory, but I will admit it is a little big if you don't have a lot of trunk space. We actually bought a small travel stroller for my parents' house so we don't have to sacrifice all of our trunk space since traveling with a baby is no joke. I love our nuna car seat. It is comfortable and lightweight. Unless you want to splurge I wouldn't get the bassinet for the stokke. Charlie was more comfortable in her car seat. So I would highly recommend the car seat adapter.

Baby Carrier- I like the wraps better when they are younger because they don't quite fit into the ego yet. I've tried a few, and I really like the Moby.

Gathre Playmat-
we use this for tummy time and for a clean space to play on. Love this because it is super portable.

Gathre Changing Mat- Portable and easy to clean

6.Essentials

7. Diapers and Wipes

Diapers- I like Honest and Babyganics they are both super absorbant. My only issue with Honest is that it doesn't do a great job containing explosions. Charlie hated Pampers brand diapers: she would cry immediately after she peed in them.

Wipes- Charlie was allergic to the Honest wipes. We love the Pampers sensitive wipes.

Creams-  My everyday is Aquaphor Baby When she has a rash I use Boudreaux's Butt Paste.
